RELIGION
The people in Mesopotamia believe that their world is controlled by gods, goddess, demons and monsters. Each city is protected by a god or goddess and they have large temples in the center of the city for the gods to live in and that is why the priest look after them with special rituals and smaller temples are were people can make offerings.
Demons are created by the gods with human bodies and animals. They are probably either good or bad and the monsters are a mixture of animals and birds.
The person in charge was the priest who took care of the sacrifices and rituals. Since the property belong to the gods, the priest supervise it and that why it makes them more valuable and important to their community.

Amurru- Is the god of nomadic people and their flocks.
